Scholarships for UCONN Athletes Through the continual support of the Michaels Jewelers Foundation Fund, a $250,000 endowment was established at The University of Connecticut Department of Athletics and Business School. It offers eight (8) scholarships, $2,000 each, to UCONN student athletes who participate in intercollegiate sports. The scholarships are presented through the Department of Athletics by a special UCONN presidential commission. Scholarships are available to Connecticut students attending UCONN (main campus) and participate in intercollegiate athletics. Scholarships are usually awarded in the freshman year and are continued annually based on maintaining academic and athletic eligibility standards established by the school.
