Diamond & Gemstone Repolishing


Do your colored gemstones look dull? Does your diamond have an unsightly chip? Michaels can repolish gemstones and diamonds to restore their original luster. Old mine cut and European cut diamonds can be transformed into modern brilliant cuts thereby enhancing the beauty, durability and value of your diamond.

Engraving


Michaels can provide the best in both hand engraving and machine engraving. Corporate logo work is our specialty.

Watch Repairs


Michaels provides service for all fine quality watches. Our watchmaker's specialty is older watches that most other watchmakers won't touch. Overhauls include complete disassembly of the movement, ultrasonic cleaning of all parts, replacement of minor worn components, reassembly, oiling, complete polishing of case, bracelet and crystal. All watches are electronically timed for proper performance.

Appraisals


Michaels operates one of the few Accredited Gem Labs in the state of Connecticut. Staffed with Certified Gemologist Appraisers and  Registered Jewelers of the American Gem Society. You can be assured of the proper evaluation of your jewelry whether for insurance replacement value, probate or donation. We can also perform Damage and Loss appraisals for chipped or damaged gemstones.

Our appraisal contains complete descriptions of each item along with grading, metal content and gemstone idenitfication. Also provided is a digital picture of your jewelry.
